Tourism Advertising Grant

The Tourism Advertising Grant (TAG) is a reimbursable, matching funds grant program whose mission is to expand the economic benefits of tourism across the state by providing competitive, matching grant funds to qualified tourism marketing partners for direct tourism advertising expenditures. This will replace the Tourism Partnership Fund (TPF) Grant from years past.

Dear Tourism Industry Partner:
The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism is pleased to offer the Tourism Advertising Grant (TAG) for fiscal year 2012-13.  The TAG program replaces the former Tourism Partnership Fund (TPF), with a new name, a consolidated focus of fundable items, new criteria and new guidelines.
The mission of the Tourism Advertising Grant is to expand the economic benefits of tourism across the state by providing competitive, matching grant funds to qualified tourism marketing partners for direct tourism advertising expenditures.
Please read the Program Overview, Core Stipulation and Funded Guidelines documents carefully.   They will explain the grant categories and their eligibility requirements.  The type of fund category is predetermined by your organization's mission and goals, however, this year you choose the match rate.  The TAG application information can be found in the Application Process and TAG Application documents listed below.   Please note the deadline for submitting applications is 5 p.m., Thursday, April 12, 2012.
I encourage you to consider attending the 47th Annual South Carolina Governor’s Conference on Tourism and Travel this February 20 – 22 in Greenville.  Not only is this conference one of the best opportunities to gather and share ideas to promote tourism in our state, there will be two sessions explaining the Tourism Advertising Grant program.  For registration and additional information, visit www.SCGovCon.com.
We look forward to our continued partnership with the many tourism entities across the state.
Kindest regards,
Beverly Shelley
Director of Sales and Marketing
South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism
