South Carolina Restaurants Selected for Inaugural MICHELIN Guide American South

Greenville, S.C. — The culinary stars of the South shone brightly last night as the MICHELIN Guide American South made its official debut in Greenville, South Carolina, celebrating the chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, and hospitality professionals who define the flavor and culture of the region.
Hosted in partnership with the MICHELIN Guide, Travel South USA, Visit Greenville, and Discover South Carolina, the event marked a milestone for the Southern culinary landscape, recognizing the region’s growing global reputation for creativity, hospitality, and world-class flavor.
“On Monday night, we celebrated the heart and soul of our state, our chefs, restaurateurs, farmers, and hospitality professionals whose creativity and dedication define not just the flavor, but the culture of the South,” said Duane Parrish, Director of the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism. “The MICHELIN Guide’s arrival is more than an accolade; it’s a recognition of the stories, people, and passion that make Southern cuisine extraordinary.”
From the Blue Ridge Mountains through South Carolina’s Midlands to the historic Lowcountry, the MICHELIN Guide American South spotlights destinations rich in culinary innovation and cultural heritage. The launch in Greenville highlights South Carolina’s role and leadership in positioning the American South as a top destination for food lovers and travelers alike.
