Logos and Usage

The Discover South Carolina logo is available for use by our tourism partners to help extend South Carolina’s message and brand identity. The logo is a sign of state government endorsement that adds merit to your work. It indicates that the document has been closely reviewed, and the contents of the document accurately represent what is being promoted.

Each user must comply with the design guidelines provided here. Please refer to these guidelines to ensure compliance on all print and electronic ads, collateral materials and direct mail projects.

These links provide graphics professionals with a means to download a digital version of the logo for placement in your work. Included are files for both PC and MAC operating systems in EPS format. If you are unable to download or utilize these versions of the logo, do not attempt to recreate the logo by matching fonts or scanning. Any intended use of the logo outside of these guidelines is prohibited without expressed consent from the South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism.

Logo Files

If you are unable to download or utilize these versions of the logo, do not attempt to recreate the logo by matching fonts or scanning. Please contact SCPRT’s Sales and Marketing Office at 803.734.0124 for assistance. You can also download the PDF files.

The PMS for the SCPRT logo’s blue color is 281. The logo should either be this blue or white—no other colors should be used.

EPS files are used primarily for desktop publishing in applications such as Adobe InDesign and Quark, as well as in graphics programs like Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator. Your web browser cannot display these files in their current formats. If you have difficulty getting these images placed in InDesign or Quark, you may need to open the files in a program like Illustrator and resave them as EPS files.To download the EPS images, click on the link and choose to save the file in your computer. For all other formats, just click on the appropriate link below.

CMYK is the file extension for the raw cyan, magenta, yellow and black bytes file. CMYK files may not be viewable on-screen. Open a layout document and place logo as a picture and you should be able to view the file.

PNG is the logo file with a transparent background. This eliminates the white box when the logo is placed over a colored background.

* We require use of the logo with the correct PMS inks. No other colors may be used for the logo. TAG grant recipients should contact their coordinator (Becky Moore) if they have questions regarding these specifications.

Logo Usage & Requirements

When utilizing the Discover South Carolina logo on print and TV advertisements, it is to be placed in the bottom center or bottom right of the ad as displayed below. The Discover South Carolina logo may only be used in blue (PMS 281) or white.

Minimum Size Requirements

The logo should always be used for optimum legibility and should follow the below minimum size guidelines. The logo with or without the website is acceptable.

For print media:full-page ad – 2-inch logo size1/2-page ad – 1 1/2-inch logo size1/3-page ad – 1 1/4-inch logo size1/4-page ad, 1/6-page ad and 1/8-page ad – 1-inch logo size

For outdoor billboards:The Discover South Carolina logo must be no smaller than 6.5 feet wide and should NOT include the DiscoverSouthCarolina.com website.

For digital banners:The Discover South Carolina logo does not need to be included as long as the landing page has the Discover South Carolina logo in a prominent location.

For TV ads:When utilizing the logo in TV spots, the logo is to be placed in the center, bottom center or bottom right of the screen for a minimum of :05.

For radio ads:The radio spot must mention “Discover South Carolina.”
