May 20, 2025

Columbia, S.C. – The South Carolina Department of Parks, Recreation & Tourism (SCPRT) is pleased to announce the most recent award recipients of the Undiscovered South Carolina grant program: York County, Florence County, Anderson County, and the City of Mullins. Applications are now open to county and municipal governments for the next round of grant funding.

“Tourism has a more than $30 billion economic impact in South Carolina,” said SCPRT Director Duane Parrish. “The Undiscovered South Carolina grant helps our small towns and hidden gems create publicly owned tourism products that showcase their local history, culture, or outdoor and natural features. Tapping into their tourism potential enhances the local economy and quality of life, and we’re honored to help our towns, cities, and counties make these projects possible.”
